Make your file fit.
Too big for Discord, WhatsApp, email or social media? Drop it here. We’ll make it fit.
Your account
Compressed on your device. Your video isn't uploaded.
Tell us where. We handle the how.
- Step 1
Pick where it's going
Discord, WhatsApp, email, or any size you type in. We know each platform's limit.
- Step 2
Drop your video
Any MP4, MOV, WebM, AVI or MKV. It stays on your device the whole time.
- Step 3
Download a file that fits
We choose resolution, frame rate and bitrate for you, and re-check the size before handing it over.
Every limit, already looked up
Upload limits differ by platform and account type, and they change. We track them so the file you download fits where you’re sending it.
| Destination | Limit | We aim for | Good to know |
|---|---|---|---|
| Discord | 20 MB | 19 MB | Discord lets free accounts upload files up to 20 MB. |
| 16 MB | 15 MB | WhatsApp caps videos sent in a chat at 16 MB. | |
| Gmail | 25 MB | 18 MB | Gmail allows 25 MB of attachments — about 18 MB of actual file. |
| 20 MB | 13 MB | Most email providers cap a message at 20–25 MB, including encoding overhead. | |
| Telegram | 2 GB | 50 MB | Telegram accepts files up to 2 GB (4 GB with Premium). |
| 1 GB | 100 MB | Reddit video posts can be up to 1 GB and 15 minutes. | |
| 4 GB | 100 MB | Instagram accepts large files, but long uploads fail and everything gets re-compressed. |

Your video stays on your device
LimitFix runs the compressor inside your browser. The video is read from your phone or computer, compressed there, and saved back there. We never receive it.
- No upload, no account needed to start.
- Location and camera metadata are removed from the result.
- Optional cloud processing (Pro) deletes files automatically after processing.
Questions people ask
Is LimitFix free?
Yes. You can compress several videos a day for free without an account. Pro removes ads, raises the limits and adds cloud processing.
Do you upload my video?
No. Compression runs inside your browser using WebAssembly, so your video stays on your device. Only Pro's optional cloud processing uploads a file, and only when you switch it on.
How does LimitFix guarantee the file fits?
It works backwards from the size you need: it calculates the bitrate that size allows for your video's length, picks the sharpest resolution that bitrate supports, and checks the result. If it's over by even a little, it encodes again at a lower bitrate.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in Safari on iPhone and Chrome on Android. Phones are slower than computers for long or 4K videos, so expect a short clip to take under a minute and a long one several minutes.
